Moroccan card games: the carta and its games
In Morocco, people play with the carta (karta, كارطة), a 40-card Spanish-style deck. The best-known games with it include Tutti (also spelled Touti), Ronda, and Hezz 2.

The Moroccan carta: 40 Spanish-style cards
The Moroccan carta has 40 cards, 4 suits of 10. Ranks run 1 through 7, then 10, 11, and 12. There is no 8 and no 9.
On ToutiGame the suits are Dheb (gold coins), Chbada (swords), Koubbas (cups), and Lekhel (clubs). You may also hear Dhab, Syouf, Tbayeq, or Zrawet at some tables.
Face cards: Sota (10) is the jack, Cabal (11) the knight, Rey (12) the king. In Darija: السوطا، الكابال، الري. Triss is the 3 in Tutti (see the rules).
Moroccan players use a Spanish-suited pack, like Spain’s baraja española.

Four players in two teams, 10 cards each. The bid is called Chra (minimum 70). The winning team picks trump (Tronfo). Ghna is Cabal and Rey of the same suit. First team to 600 points wins. See the Tutti rules.

Ronda
A capture (“fishing”) game for 2 players or 4 in teams of 2. Each round deals 3 cards in hand and 4 face up on the table at the start. You capture a matching card plus cards that follow in ascending order.
Calls: “ronda” for a pair in hand, “tringa” for three of a kind. Capturing the card just played scores a point (darba); clearing the table is “missa”. Often played to 41 points; rules vary by family.
Ronda is not available on ToutiGame.
Hezz 2 (Hez Jouj, هزّ جوج)
A shedding game: play a card of the same number or suit, or draw. A 2 makes the next player draw 2 (stackable), a 1 skips a turn, a 7 changes suit. First to empty their hand wins; rules vary by family.
